So, step out of our homes and take a picture of something.....okay, .... well, I noticed this before I even went out there. Saw it from my bedroom window...and then walked across the alley to get my picture.
Out with the old ....already?? .....once a beautiful big Poinsettia.... now, covered in snow, it waits for the garbage guys.... ....

Yes, it looks cold ... We've got some snow also and really not inviting to go outside :)
Oh no frost bite, I through mine away in the garbage also today but it was in the house. It is funny some years I can't get these to die but this year, Puff..... Fun image
they say we may get snow tonight, they are probably wrong as usual :-) I wonder if left handedness is inherited, I've never had to use mine to draw or write until now but my dad is left handed.
I could sure have used some of that lovely, cold snow yesterday...we had an unbearably hot and humid New Year's Day. The poinsettia looks deathly cold, poor thing but, at least, you have a lasting memory of it.
Sad that they have to die off isn't it? Brrr...
Brrr ~ your poor Pointsettia looks so
sad. I always like visiting your blog and seeing your great photos and reading what you say ~ thank you.
Wishing you the very best for 2009 and may your days be filled with love, joy and laughter.
Hugs
Carolyn
I miss snow. Is it def. dead? :(
I always feel like a murderer when it comes time to get rid of the pointsetta, but they just don't come back here. Alas for the tropics!
Happy New Year to you, dear Veronica:-) Wishing you and yours all the very best that 2009 has to offer!!
Awwww, poor poinsettia, doesn't look like it enjoyed the snow very much! lol xoxo
I was thinking today that if I had snow I would take a picture of a colorful flower against the white white snow, and here you did it! Love that pic. I think we all feel like that plant after the holidays- limp- hee hee
Happy New Year!!!
Happiest of New Years to Ye! The picture-a-day challenge sounds fun!
Aww...poor poinsettias!
No snow for us here in the southern US, but it has been getting pretty darn cold!
I may not have made it very clear...but, this poor plant was my neighbour's...not mine. At least I water mine and keep it a lot longer than a week or two.... poor thing...it looked sad and lonely.
Ah, I'm glad you keep your poinsettias, so do I..as long as I can!
That's so sad! I want to rescue the poor things!
Happy New Year 2009! I hope yours has started off better than the poinsettia's has! x
