I got the feet attached...and then did the frilly dilly little thingmebob on one of her upper legs....sheesh.... what a tricky spot to needle felt. Had to spread her poor little legs a bit to get in there .. poor baby...
Maybe my mentor did her goosie somewhat differently ... maybe she put the frill on the upper leg and then attached the leg? ...I know not. I am just playing copycat here ... and trying to figure it out for myself without asking too many questions. That's part of the game, see? .......... I want to know if I can accomplish anything near the original by doing that ... although... as soon as Gretel sees this...she will then let me know if I did it all bass ackward...! Which is a distinct possibility........
Then... took some time out to bake some scones...because strawberries were on sale ...and I had to have some. Soooo sweet they are too.
And... found a great recipe for Hot Cross Buns....yes, I know ...I'm several days late now. I was busy. But...I'm still going to give them a go one day this week to test and taste.
Oh,....and speaking of late.... my doll and bear making buddy, Maggi, came to play on Friday .... and brought me a car. Well, brought a car for one of the little guys cuz I'm way to big to fit in this little roadster ....
Perfect fit for Scooter...

That's the perfect car & bear combination! You were right about needle felting the frill directly onto the upper leg, that's how I do it. But I make a loop of wire for the legs and it goes through the tummy first - then I wind the wool round the wire and needle felt them into legs & feet, so that they are joined and stablised inside. but she's looking great anyway! :)
Mmm...your scones look delish! And such a fun little car your friend brought you ~ cute!
I hope you had a terrific Easter!

Oh my gosh..how absolutely adorable! I used to make bears a long time ago but paper has replaced them. My DH calls me Lil Bear to this day.
Those scones look divine! I can almost taste one.
Hi Vee, Happy easter! Cute little car and how appropriate too. The last couple of days have been busy here and all is back to normal today so I have a bit of time to visit everyone again. Strawberries .... just had some for breakfast, fresh and straight from my garden. Mmmm... They're nearly finished though...bummer! Sue
The scones got me...yummy:) I have a hot cross bun recipe somewhere that I was going to make. You use a bread machine. I know you like to do it from scratch but some of us are lazy:)
Hi Vee,

Oh, you! You got me hooked on Gretel and her lovely creations, but I have to say, yours are right up there! I love these little felted buddies--I HOOKED on them! Well, I don't make them, I just want them!
Your goosie is taking shape beautifully. I am sure Gretal will be pleased with the result.
