photo a week

Okay....this not what I had in mind when I decided on the word "reflections" ....  but, life got in the way.  I am not working from my own computer ...and .. can't get at my photos from here.  So.... I stole one of my sister's pics for today...

However, some day...I am definitely going to post the pics I had in mind for today.  Remember back when we had "shadows" for our theme word...it seemed I was finding so many great reflection shots instead...so that was my inspiration for the theme word.  And..now... darn it ... can't get at 'em.

Oh, well... that's the way it goes.  I can still get to your blogs and admire your shots and posts....

Mr. BV's Dad had a stroke early yesterday and we had to jump ship and make waves to his hospital.... so far so good...he seems alright even though he is voiceless at the moment.   Not a lot of info yet as to the prognosis or the treatment  .... they are still running tests...

He seems to be able to move all his limbs.. can actually walk to the washroom by himself...but, is on a bed beside the nursing station because they have no room at the "Inn" so to speak.  No beds in the stupid hospital.  We'll see what transpires today.  Everybody envies us our health system...but, .... it's the same as anywhere else.  If it was Russia...at least we could bribe ourselves into a bed... that would probably be pretty acceptable ....

Great Great shots of reflection. So So sorry for Mr. BV's father. I know exactly what you are going though...it happened to my husband's father also...and we are not strangers to lack of "room at the Inn"...just last month, my husband had 2 stints put in during a heart cath and made him stay overnight with no available room for him. What are we going to do with our systems? Take care and you are all in my thoughts and prayers....Shelly

Sorry about your FIL - hope he's recovering ok - your health service sounds a bit like hours - people left on trolleys in corridors or even put in cupboards!
Beautiful photo!!

Usually the "bad kids that don't play nice" get put beside the nursing station;-)

Hope he's able to recover quickly! Having to lay out in the hallway is such an indignity. Like adding insult to injury. Our system really does suck for reasons such as these.

I'll be praying for a quick and thorough recovery for your FIL Vee. In the meantime, your sister provided you with a magnificent photo. Simply beautiful, like a spa vacation for the eyes.

Sorry to hear about your FIL, Vee....glad to hear he's doing okay. I hope all the test results are good and that he recovers well.

Not sure how the medical system in Canada works but we have a free hospital system here in Australia and, while many complain about waiting lists for non-emergency surgery or lack of beds, I prefer to appreciate the free service. My 26 year old son has been in and out of hospitals since he's been six months old, still attends top specialists on a regular basis, and we've never had to pay for any of it.....for that, I am very grateful. I heard of a horror story, only recently, of someone in the States committing suicide due to being refused treatment because they weren't in a medical fund and couldn't cope with any more pain. Very sad to think that person would have been treated for free here and seen as an emergency to boot.

Oh I do send you healing thoughts & prayers to Mr. BV's dad (and that he gets a bed!). Beautiful photo even if it's not what you had in mind. Sorry you're currently 'incommunicado'. And I wanted to say thanks for the great awesome comment you left on my blog re: my uncle. I'm glad someone in this world feels like I do. I'm sending you a huge supporting hug....
