Photo a Week....

A bit different for the new year...we've decided to set themes for each week's photo.  This week... "something new"

We don't bother with Christmas gifts anymore.... instead we get ourselves something for the house that we want.  This year it was a chair to go with the new office furniture and we chose a fabric that went wonderfully with the new carpeting.  See?  too much new stuff to bother with Christmas as well....

Olde is new again..... well at least the old, Olde Worlde, or vintage look, is in again.  Like everything else... just save something long enough and it will roll back around to being "in style"....

I wish polyester had not rolled around again ... I refuse to buy any of the "new" polyester blouses  ... been there, done that....ick....  polyester for hot days?  Forget it....

But, this........ this I like.

We chose the fabric to go with the new deep burgundy carpeting.  It's a beautiful textured tapestry ....

That chair is perfect to go with that carpet. Nice choice ;)
We usually don't do xmas gifts either, and often get something we want for the house. We still need furniture. I may give up waiting until the house is finished to get it, and start adding some pieces as I find stuff I like. And after I get a new computer ;)

The chair's style and fabric are gorgeous; you did a great job selecting them.
I got a new sofa for Christmas and am happy with it. We are afraid, very afraid, that our girl cat will rip the fabric to shreds so we are patroling it to protect it.
She did rather destroy our very old sofa.
I am happy that we put out our two old sofas in our front yard and put a "free" sign on them, and people took them right away. Yay.
My husband even delivered one of the sofas in our truck to their nearby house.

I love your chair!! For my Christmas (and birthday - a combined present) I got a big grown up camera, and I gave my husband a very large saw!! We tend to to justify large purchases by calling them birthday/Christmas presents!!

That is EXACTLY the type of chair I would have chosen Bumble!! It is gorgeous. We do not exchange gifts either - don't need anything but a warm fire and a glass of Bailey's!! Good to hear from you!

I complain about our cold spell then I scroll through your pics of all the snow and start feeling much better. Great chair, I've always liked good wood furniture.
