.... and, ........I don't have anything exotic or unusual this week. Nope. Just some run-of-the-mill, everyday, house sparrows.
But....I have to say...they are a pretty interesting and cute bunch of guys ...and gals too I guess. I love their antics.
Seeing as I am not a bird watching connoisseur ....I haven't a clue really about gender, etc.. But, there are various colourations, and maybe even a few different types... who knows? Not me... but, you might.... so, let me know if you have specific information.
Meantime... to see them larger ..."biggify" by clicking on the pics....
Checking for danger before having a bath......
Oooooh ....it's cold....... and, ....kinda deep...........it's already up to my feathers..... !!
Alright then... perhaps a face wash at the very least......
Hey! who's that interrupting my fun? ......
What the? .... where did THEY all come from?........
Brother........

Sparrows are always good to watch and they do seem to get everywhere as I had one on my post from Malawi. WBW
What a cute series. It's so fun to watch them taking a bird bath!
Very cute:) I love watching the wee birdies taking a bath.
Sparrows are definitely cute - and so nice to watch them having their bath. I am currently being mesmerized by a pair of cardinals that have started visiting our feeder. Unfortunately they're far too skittish to get any pictures and I can't even take any through the windows because we have permanent screens.
House Sparrow love! Nothing like bath time!
That's a lot of birdies! We don't have a bird bath but it looks like we need one! We just feed our birdies. :)
Its fun watching them bathe. I love your captions.
Nice pictures - the ones with the grey/brown heads and the black bib are the males.
They are (thanks to humans moving them about) a bit of a world bird these days.

Sparrows are plentiful in my back yard. I enjoy watching them. Enjoyed your commentary.
We seem to have a bird fest going on in the fields at the moment. The farmer throws down cattle food and the birds come to eat the remains. Yesterday we had 19 pheasants and a dozen magpies all out there feasting. x Jo
Wonder if the birds think some folks are common. Fun commentary for our ever present birds.
Fun post with delightful commentary! I have never seen birds bathing in our bird bath, only drinking from it. This was a treat. :)
Wherever you are in the world it's guaranteed there will be House Sparrows.
Hi Vee,
I enjoyed seeing your sweet sparrows taking a bath.
They are fun to watch and for a while over here, they were a little scarce - have just started noticing them again.
Hope you are enjoying the week
hugs
Carolyn
Good morning Vee! I know very little about bird world but enjoy every little feathered creature I see! Your pics are delightful along with the narration. I sure enjoyed visiting you today!
Blessings, Edie Marie
