Gwendolyn took all the suggestions to heart.... well, she must have, mustn't she? She's managed to find other hats, and, therefore...other duties. It's not only golfing notes she holds now..... look at this...today she is holding a recipe...Energy Bars if you please. And, ....the other day it was just hats......who knows how she found them. The bears must have helped. They are always up to no good it seems.
so...I got right on it...and made the bars.
YUM!! Very tasty! But.... they are still not the perfect recipe I am searching for... ooorr.. 'for which I am searching' if you must see it correctly. I am looking for a truly tasty bar, but one which stays totally intact upon being sliced. This one still crumbles a bit at the edges.... and still seems a bit softer than I want. If you have a great recipe.... please let me know.....
I will post this one on my food blog eventually...and place a link to it so you can try it as well.
AND.....now...for a fun thing.
What is this? Send along your guess in the comments....and if there is more than one who gets it correct...I will have one of the boys make a random drawing from a pot of names.... for a little prize. Let me see..... perhaps I will give it til Friday so that a few more of my now long lost "regulars" might have a chance to drop by ......

Oh my, that is intriguing. And what beautiful colors it made! Gee, I can't even come up with a reasonable guess....darn!
What ever it is its very pretty - some sort of button perhaps.
Even after enlarging the photo I don't know what it is - it looks like copper round the edge - some sort of plate or bowl?
Good on you Gwendolyn... I see you've even made it to be the new Header Girl - all right!!
Hmmmm, no ideas really as to your mystery object. Very pretty and seems to be pottery of some sort.
Gwendolyn makes a beautiful blog header, Vee!
As to what the thingy-ma-jig is...holy crap, I have NO idea! A painted platter/plate perhaps???
OOH! I think I know! It looks like a pan that had macaroni or other noodles in it, that got left on the element or in the stove for too long and the macaroni burnt that pattern on the bottom.
I wouldn't know because I have burnt anything like that before or anything... this is a purely random guess. Of course. lol
Gwendolyn is the cutest of THEE CUTE - I love her so much! The expression on her face is priceless!
i agree with krista, looks like a pot with the macaroni pattern burnt on the bottom. I've had a few pots like that lol
Clever little lady is Gwendolyn and so pretty too. Looks like the bottom of a copper pot to me. It is cool whatever it is.
Oh my goodness ~ look at how much more important she became. I hope you gave her a raise in her allowance. ;)
xo Catherine
And your treats look yummy!
I love Gwendolyn's hat. So cute.
Mystery object...The bottom of a pot...hehe! yes maybe a burnt dinner was left there. I have just managed to boil some eggs dry too. Oh where are you 'my mind'. Maa
Dearest Veronica,
What to say here? Gwendolyn looks very nice; you're a great artist as is evident from your web site!
And what is that shallow copper thing? No idea!
Love to you,
Mariette
