Photo a week...

Am I dangerously close to making this into a food blog?... when I already have one of those ??

Sorry.... but, had to show you my healthy version of strawberry shortcake... with Sweet Tea Biscuit dough (no eggs) baked into large rustic scone shapes (instead of cake) ... and frozen no-fat yogurt instead of whipped cream...which if you haven't tried it is pretty darn yummy.... and well, hey...the strawberries are absolutely real....and lovely and sweet!

It looked too pretty to pass up . .. and so it became the perfect photo of the week.

Oh, and Helen?... the bun recipe is over there...it looks long at first glance but don't forget how narrow that column is...it is actually pretty simple and they are worth a try. I finally found a great Kaiser bun/roll recipe too...and will post that very soon.

Well, I love poring over your food blog so food pics on here won't bother me either. That is one yummy-looking strawberry shortcake!

Almost exactly what I had for breakfast - except my yogurt wasn't frozen. I love the "shortcake" recipe on the back of the Bisquick box, lazy me.

yummo ... although I'm a girl who loves her (only ever) REAL whipped cream.

Looks delish! I agree, frozen yogurt is yummy - that is all we eat now, basically banned icecream.

Hi Vee,

I am glad that you shared your yummy strawberry shortcake.
Those strawberries look so good and we have to wait until about November for nice berries.

The other day I cheated and bought some that had been imported and they were not like the nice fresh ones from the gardens. They did not have the bright red colour or a sweet taste.

Have a great week.
Hugs
Carolyn

Yummo!!! I love getting new recipes and food ideas so it wouldn't bother me either.

I also made that cabbage soup on your cooking blog the other night after mum raved about it and it was deliciouse! My partner said it was his favourite soup. I used the wrong stock though so I think it is going to taste even better when I use the chicken stock next time. I can't wait especially with winter settling in.
