Bring back the Pony Express !!

I bet those trusty riders didn't do this much damage to precious cargo.

Little parcels and letters are such fun to receive..... but when I discover a little package sitting on the porch and it looks like somebody punted it from the curb.... well, I just get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach before I even open it.

This was definitely crushed under some heavy weight...or slammed in a door...

Part of the problem was in the packing to be sure... as part of the inside of the box was filled with extra paper packed around the interior smaller box, while the other side of it was not stuffed as much. ...but still...

see the large lettering? ... almost like they take extra liberty with anything marked fragile, isn't it?

sure enough....... sigh......

My poor little Polar Kins. Okay...well, at least it is only their little rocking pony base. It is a perfectly clean break...it can be repaired.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh 'shoot'!!! {Substitute your own word, for 'shoot'} Wow, what that poor package went through. Grrrrr...

But yes, it's a clean break and can be super-glued together.

But still........... Grrrrrrr....

And thank you, Hon Bun, for going over to my daughter's blog and commenting. And it sounds as if you had good words for her..... To wear some light shoes or put sticky thingys on the bottom of hand knit socks.

YOU can say that to her. If I did, I'd make it sound like; "Duhhh Girlie, for not doing that!" -giggles-

It is so infuriating when parcels arrive in that kind of state. And I totally agree, if a parcel has 'fragile' or 'handle with care' on, it is almost like an invitation to treat it carelessly I am sure.
I am sorry it was broken and I hope you can repair it, but it is such a shame it has to be repaired because of someone else's actions.

Oh dear, don't you just hate it when that happens? It truly does make you wonder what goes on with our packages...I'd love to be a fly one day and follow a package from the time it leaves the customer's hands until it reaches its destination!! lol So many times I've had packages delivered that way with something broken inside...and yes it said "fragile" on the box! xox

Oh - that's a d**n shame - I hate when that happens. You really do get that sinking feeling in your stomach when you see a package in that kind of condition. They are so charming too - I hope you can repair it with no problems!

Um....how I can I say this, I NEVER write "FRAGILE" on any parcels I mail that will encounter the USPS. I know for a fact that "some" employees think it their civic duty to "batter" the packages marked "FRAGILE"...yes, those are the ones (in their minds) marked "KICK ME" (hard). I just thought you should know but don't ask me how I know and no I , personally, would never do that.
I;m glad you were able to repair it.

aha! cryptic message from a postal employee?...

hahha...tx for stopping in.

I never write it either...it is too tempting for them. sometimes I do write "cookies" on it...just to tease them.... and perhaps check if they eat things too. So far..no cookies went missing...
