Snow, snow, ....and ....more snow!!

This is a reeeellly big snow year so far.  See those pots in the picture above in the header? ...here they are now.... who can even tell they are pots anymore?

We are nowhere finished with our snowy months.... good thing my arm is working much better this year....I'm definitely getting my shovelling exercise!  Don't get me wrong ...I do love being out in the pristine white stuff ... it is so lovely and quiet; even the sound of cars passing by is muffled by the fluffy deep stuff we have now.  The problem is, I can't throw it much higher in some areas..so, I've resorted to shovelling it all towards the road.  Forget trying to pile it any higher.... I was even using my sister's technique for piling manure ... sort of flattening the cone at the top of the pile every so often to make the hill wider instead of too narrow ... which is when the balls of you-know-what roll right off with every forkful and end up at your feet again (or...worse yet, on them!...'course, usually you are wearing boots so it's not that big a deal.. ) Luckily my rolling snow balls were just that ...snow.... ..

But, the hills were still getting too steep and too conical... just the perfect sledding hills ...or so the guys thought.... and it wasn't long before several of them got out there even if it is -17C..... wheeeeeee...........
"Hang on Gingy"....!!  it's pretty steep .... and almost as high as a house!

Not to be left out ....  these two found another sled ....and downnnnnn they went too....

"Let's go again"......

...hellllllppppp!!

Okay guys .... time to come in now...my fingers are getting numb .....

Good thing you can maintain a sense of humour about all this white stuff! Don't know how much we woke up to this morning again. Have to go out later so I guess we will find out. It's supposed to snow the rest of the day too. Yuck.

Criminy, we are getting a TON of snow here too. And yes, it is getting too high to stack. Especially that heavy stuff that the plow likes to dump on my newly shoveled drive. Ugh.

I think we are on the back half of winter, right? Okay...so it's the LONG half...I'm trying to be positive.

Those cuties of yours are really having a lot of fun in the snow! I suddenly had the urge to toboggan! :)
The snow looks lovely and white! Miss it!

Hugs.

Vee, Heavy snow for sure.. Our nearest city Saint John, NB, has already gone over their snow plow budget for the entire year only after 3 weeks of ice and snow. Stay safe and warm.

Snow joke is it:) We have had more snow so far this year than usual and it's only January. It's the cold I object to....it's bitterly cold here right now:(

Thanks for calling by. I've been out of the loop a bit over Christmas and new year as life [and filling boxes] sort of got in the way :-) I'm back today with my latest distraction creation and I'm sure some of your little bears would love to come to explore what I've been making.
Stay warm and have a fun and creative 2014.
Hugs,
Annie x

it does look very beautiful I agree but I can't begin to imagine how challenging it must be to live with on a regular basis. I take my hat off to you. Any stitching happening amongst the snow?
