Photo a Week...

Today's photo is our favourite coffee mug....

Mine is one I've had for years.  It actually only holds 3/4 of a cup and that's the perfect amount for me.  I really enjoy one small cup of coffee, but I don't think I can say I love it.  One cup is usually all I have in a day.

I love the way coffee smells.. !!   Why does it never taste quite as wonderful as it smells?

I took this cup from a restaurant/bar mannnnyyy years ago.  I'm surprised it is still intact.  They used it to serve hot rum or special coffee ... you know the one.  With whipped cream and a cherry on top.  The coffee, not the rum.   Perfect in place of dessert...or... as dessert.

Here is a page from a little journal ...  this pic is from a few years ago... something about our coffee cups again, if you can believe it.  We all had to come up with a page.. I added to it with some words of inspiration from an advertisement....looks like it would be a perfect choice for Valentine's Day.... 'specially the chocolate bit....and... the recipe for those little babies is on my Tea and Scones blog if you'd like to try them some day.  Simple and very tasty.

Failing that... how 'bout this?

Yep...I know....the photo is reversed.... can't remember why... but, just to convey adding a little something tasty and sweet instead of sugar some days.....

Only half a cup a day?? Amazing woman! To me coffee tastes as good as it smells.

Have you tried adding a dash of cream or milk to it? I have only just started trying coffee without milk and I find it hard to get used to...a little more bitter in taste, I think. Cute mug and yes, I know the type you mean....we used to have some many years ago. Lovely journal page ~ :)

You inspire me to post a photo of my favorite cup, which has a silhouette of a black cat on it. I have 2 of these cups, one with a sky blue background and 1 with a pink background.
A spritz of light whipped cream never goes amiss.

Love the cup and I'm down to about a cup and a half a day. It just doesn't quite taste the same anymore. sigh.

Hi Sweetie! What a pretty little cup! I have a favorite cup too. Of all the things my husband has given me over the years, it's my cup I love the most! Hugs, Paulette

I quit drinking coffee several years ago because it started tasting bitter to me. then mike brought home a bag of Dunkin Donuts coffee and I loved it- so mellow and never has that bitter taste. so now I'm a coffee drinker again. I have two cups ( with a couple of teaspoons of Hills Bros, Cappuccino English Toffee) every afternoon with Mike when he gets home.

I thought sure you'd have a cup with teddy bears on it.

You can always rely on Tia Maria to make the coffee taste so much better! ;)
I also prefer the smell of coffee to drinking it. I was so surprised to hear that people over here, can drink up to 12 expressos a day! Crazy, heh! Love your cute cup. Have a lovely day, sweet. Hugs ....

Delightful little cup! I could never stand to eat anything first thing in the morning until I learned to drink coffee. Somehow the hot beverage relaxed my stomach and made food go down better. (I don't have that trouble anymore....sigh).

I'm with you!! I like the smell of coffee, but I don't particularly like the taste - if I have a cup of coffee, I want another drink afterwards!! The one time I do enjoy coffee is on holiday - sitting in the sun on the terrace of a coffee shop, with a cup of frothy milky coffee (and a piece of cake!!)

after working at timmys, I can't bring myself to drink coffee lol being around it all the time drove me insane. literally :p, the coffee soaked into my skin and I was jumping around all the time lol and people can get so angry when you stir their coffee the wrong way o.0 "it must be stirred counter clockwise, 3 ways with your eyes closed" :p

I am not a big coffee drinker either. I have one a day mostly.

Love your mug and have enjoyed reading the last few post. I love my coffee strong and black and usually drink a pot by myself on the weekend mornings. I for some reason love it with cream at a restaurant though or in the afternoon if I have a cup or two at home after work.
