more cards...

I refuse to be done with Christmas already... I'm still playing with photos and cards...and little mice and... oh, origami ornies made from salvaged wrapping papers.....

Save the fronts of the cards... or even parts of them .......

They look great placed in various spots in your tree....

this Victorian montage from a great one my sister sent me years ago... hmmm... almost sounds like she sent it to me in Victorian times...hahahha.....yeh, I'm old...but not that ancient...

I cut just the center out of this one... leaving on the gold trim...

this one is silvered.... and looks amazing in front of a little light... almost like a little lit painting...

Oops... where'd this come from? ...oh.... I know...it's a bit of summer colour for a wintery day.....

This is a great way to save some memories, add beauty to your tree and recycle, all rolled in to one.
I do hate to throw out my beautiful cards that were sent to me and save my favorites.
It makes great sense to display them on the Christmas tree, nicely trimmed.

Very pretty! And so nice to find ways to preserve those beautiful scenes on the cards. I especially love the way the lights reflect on the silvered one!

What a great idea! They look lovely!

I make gift-tags out of some of mine using a guillotine and a hole punch, but I really like your idea for saving 'special' cards.

I agree that cards (parts of, or montages) look great on a tree! I really like the Victorian montage one that your sis sent you!

They're lovely! Is the flower photo from last summer or do you have them inside the house?

Beautiful card displays and the flower photo is lovely too! This year I dabbled a bit with making my own Christmas cards so I'm now keeping a lot of the greetings cards I receive so I can recycle parts thereof into my own cards. Possibilities abound....

Btw, did you decorate the ornament in your blog header pic with spirals? It gorgeous! I adore spiral designs!

Hi Vee,

Some cards are so lovely that you must keep them to display and play with. I am the same with some of mine.
Your all look so pretty.
Wishing you all the very best for a wonderful year.
