I can almost smell them. Did you know that in Thompson Manitoba they bloom in July? It was weird because here in TO they bloom in May.

Lovely pic! Lilacs are one of my favorite flowers and I wish they bloomed all Spring and Summer. Sadly, ours have now died off.

Lilacs are lovely aren't they. I have 2 plants which are very young so they have not flowered properly yet.

What a pretty photo! I love lilacs, they smell so delicious. My lilac bush did so well this year, it was just covered in beautiful flowers...first year it did that! Smiles, Paulette :o)

OH! Lilacs! I LOVE them! They have the sweetest fragrance. I used to love to sip the nectar out of the little "trumpets" (blossoms) when I was a little girl.

For painter's, that would make a lovely still life painting!

I adore lilacs, foremost for their scent.
Wow, and in addition at my home growing up we had three lilac bushes: lilac, white and deep purple.
This is a divine garden plant and thanks for your photo.

Oh, I miss lilacs! It's too warm down here for them to grow. When I look at your photo really hard, I can almost smell them! I'm envious!! :) Silke
