Aptly named.......

Snowdrop Anemones...... covered in snow this morning.

The beautiful fuschia creeping phlox.... buried....

Dogwood bowed to the ground under the heavy, wet, stuff......

hot peppers.....hmmmmm...... don't think they will be too impressed....

snowy garden pathway.....in June.....

That does it...I'm taking out the Christmas tea towels for the weekend..... I feel like putting up the tree. A few days ago it was sunny, hot days of 26C... this morning it is 0C and snowing.....sigh.....only in Calgary as we usually say. But, then so do others with the same wonderful weather dips and dives.

My brother wrote last week to say it was too hot to bake where he lives. Must check to see if he has cold and snow today too. He is at altitude as well..so, maybe the same there. Now, this is a perfect baking day! Okay..that's what I'll do. What's that saying?...when life gives you a few lemons...make lemon muffins ? or lemon loaves or well...anything lemony will do really.

Yes, I had heard on the weather report that you guys got the white stuff. My husband said that our weather here was perfect summer weather. I agreed since it was neither too hot nor cold. How about some lemonade and throw "Back to the Beach" in the VCR or DVD and pretend?

I'm so jealous!!! I'm a big time snow lover, and winter lover! I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I saw these beautiful pictures! It's just about now, here on Long Island, that I start counting the days until fall!...The comment you left made me crack up about the gum! I wish everyone could have won something!!! You're very sweet!

Oh no Vee!

Your poor little peppers and flowers will really not be liking the snow.
And they keep saying it is Global warming?

Stay warm and I hope that the you will soon be having your Summer.

Hugs
Carolyn

...And they say the English have weather to talk about. What extremes you have. How do you manage to get any plants to grow with extremes like that? Life's never boring is it? Keep warm. Ax

WOW! Hot one week and snow the next? That's amazing. Amazing how plants survive it, too...

Well, it is cool and damp here in Ontario, but no snow! Your pics are beautiful - there is something etherally lovely about flowers dusted with snow.

OH no, your poor flowers and peppers won't be liking that snow at all. I remember when we moved from Australia to Wyoming in '98...it was in June and it snowed the night we arrived into the next day! The townspeople said the weather was just showing off for us Aussies ~ lol

OMG! I can't believe you got snow in June! Poor Vee. If I was you, I would be hiding in bed sobbing. I so hope your summer finally arrives for good real soon. Looks like you are going to have a brief summer, poor girl.
