and, then......it snowed.

My 'Christmas Cactus'..   which has bloomed on all sorts of days including American Thanksgiving... and, on Hallowe'en.... this year bloomed even a week earlier....it must have known something.

It's winter.... because the following Monday.....it snowed!

The birdies were not best pleased.

I must dig out my heated birdie bath...and quick!

The snapdragons were still blooming away.... I must admit it was waaaay past the time when I would have expected it.  I just couldn't make myself pull them out when they continued to sprout flowers.

I've been looking at paper 'thingies' .......from older Paper, Cloth, Scissors mags......
look at the cute little purses....
No clue what I'm doing, but I'm trying a couple.

Ha, ha. We have our second summer at the moment. Highs are 16C and 18C for the week but we're back to cooler weather on the weekend.
Have fun playing with paper.

Your four-letter-word pictures are pretty. I guess. This from a non-fan of winter! A little story....my mother was a huge lover of plants and every year my DH would give her a new one for her collection. She did NOT however like white flowers. One Christmas DH stumbled across a white Christmas cactus and absolutely had to get it for her. She was not thrilled but dutifully thanked him and hung it in the window. Months went by and she finally told me that she was refusing to water it, hoping it would die. Nope. It flowered, over and over - much to her chagrin. It became a family joke because she would phone and say "You know that d-a-m-n-ed plant? It's flowering again". It was the only plant I kept after she died. And guess what? I killed it.

I used to have a Christmas cactus which I neglected badly in my classroom. Every year it used to burst into bloom in late November just in time for my 6/7 year olds to paint the most wonderful pictures in red and green which covered a whole wall by Christmas time - totally brilliant little plant!. We have very mild weather here at the mo - very warm and muggy Autumn but I am not complaining. Hope your snow is a pretty as it looks! x Jo
