I broke it!!

Waaaahhhhhhhh!!!
my cute little spoon rest from Portugal.  I dropped the pepper grinder on it and it cracked the end of the handle right off!

I got it a couple years ago when we visited my friend Maria there..... it took me soooo long to choose from hundreds, if not thousands, at a special pottery shop that we stopped at on one of our little day trips.

It is a clean break...and I did toy with the idea of mending it ..but, at some point, I'd probably put it in the sink ...the piece would fall off and I'd stab myself with the razor sharp edges...so no...I have to let it go I guess.

Good bye little hand painted pottery piece....

What a pity! Can not you make a pendant for a necklace from it?

Oh no! Maybe you'll have to go back for a new one! :)

Could you perhaps break it up a little more and then make a mosaic out of it?? Perhaps you could make some sort of hot mat or coaster? I feel sad too!

Aw I hate it when something special gets broken...as suggested above maybe it's and excuse for a return visit to get another one?

There must be water proof glue!!!

Then you can keep it, use it and love it.... and you can pass it down with a story of "that's the time Grandma "V" dropped her pepper grinder on the Portuguese pottery spoon in a mad dash to get supper ready on time... haha..

I'd totally fix it...but then be REALLY, REALLY careful with it when washing. Or maybe just put it on a shelf or something so you can still enjoy how pretty it is.

Oh how sad! I hate when things like that happen. I've repaired many a thing but not a spoon. I am a fan of E6000 glue. It's sooo strong... I don't think it would come apart in a tornado!!
