I too shoo the magpies especially when the birds are nesting.Shashi Nayagamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12104875758016386977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8082891485735387579.post-53265357400167632872016-03-17T13:24:40.288-07:002016-03-17T13:24:40.288-07:00Those nuthatches are really animated creatures. I ...Those nuthatches are really animated creatures. I really miss having a bird feeder here in south Florida as I did in New Mexico. I put one up the first winter I was here, in 2004, and it did attract goldfinches, the only time I have ever seen them in the yard. Then the unruly Muscovy Ducks, pigeons and Monk Parakeets moved in, spilling all the seed within minutes and violating a local ordinance prohibiting feeding the ducks. Now an array of feeders sits empty in the garage.Kenneth Cole Schneiderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13034897745614006325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8082891485735387579.post-56076566973950740162016-03-14T17:08:49.551-07:002016-03-14T17:08:49.551-07:00I LOVE the nuthatch!
