If you've been coming here for any length of time, you know I love to bake. Breads are a new addition to my repertoire of baked goodies... and it's one of those tiny regrets; in that I wish I had begun to bake it many years before now.
Why don't you give a bread a try? There are a few recipes on my Tea and Scones blog.... the picture here is Tuscan Peasant Bread...another one from Susan... she found it on the 'net.... don'tcha love surfing that thing? Such great things to find....

So, I seem to have gotten into a 2 month posting habit. That's not cool.
I must say, Blogger drives me bonkers, with all it's reoccurring faults,

I remember baking bread once, years ago and it turned out wonderfully (not to mention the fabulous aroma that permeated the house). I've never attempted bread since - I don't know why.
After reading your post, I may just bake some!
Wish I'd known, would have baked a loaf today. Does using a bread maker count?
Nice to meet you too, your work is wonderful!

Now that looks sooo delicious! I made homemade pizza tonight, it was yummy...they ate all my rock hard brownies from yesterday! Hugs, Paulette ;)
Actually BVee the recipe comes from one of my favourite cookbooks "Bread for all Seasons : Delicious and Distinctive Recipes for Year-Round Baking" by Beth Hensperger and I've been making Tuscan bread for many years (way before the blog) ... thankfully I was able to also find the recipe on line and thus save myself typing out all those instructions - believe it or not I hate to type (says she who loves to blog). Hope you've said goodbye to your snow. xo S & les Gang

Hi Vee,
You learn something every day and that is interesting that it was World Bread day. I would have baked if I had known.
I did bake a lemon meringue pie though.
Your bread looks great and the smell that permeates through the house is always so wonderful.
Hugs
Carolyn
